because they are lemmings and they have no ability to think for themselves, not to mention the fact that christianity's worst fear is giving power back to the people. the almighty god figure thing is the only one who could possibly possess any power in their universe.

it's centuries of brainwashing. nothing wrong with magic. we all create it every day...

Executing all the homosexuals? Sure thing!

Hey, they were warned.

you can't be this ignorant and dumb?

Him being a Christian means he is. Just like Al Qaida should these fundamentalist freaks be exterminated like the vermin they are.

I?ve developed a real respect for religion. Just because I don?t understand why others desire to follow a path other than the one I chose doesn?t mean I should bash them in any sense of the word. I have some Christian friends and they are wonderful people.

My beliefs are different. That is what makes me who I am. None of us are perfect I know that?s hard for some of you to come to grips with, but its true!

There is tons I don?t agree with, but why waste my time arguing. It?s pointless and it?s a real negative energy. I do get a kick out of watching you guys do it though. :D

Murder? Perfectly fine!

Incest? Equally acceptable!

Executing all the homosexuals? Sure thing!

Stoning children for disobedience? Yup!

Genocide against ethnicities determined to be impure? Damn straight!

Performing divination (say, Oija board)? Oh, nonono, that is a SIN!

Working on Sunday? Absolutely not! That's disgusting, what kind of freak would do that?

The problem with many 'fundie' sects is that they use large chunks of the old testament without realizing that Christ's sacrifice completely invalidates that whole section of the bible.*

* Answer given from a 'Christian' perspective, of course. To an atheist, the whole thing is bunk, anyway.

Excellent answer, and QFT.

Now I should tell you that Sodoma and Gamorrah weren't the only cities in the world - I mean they might have been the only cities, but there were villages and so on

No incest is ever done.

Adam and Eve had kids. Then what?

Noah and his wife were the only two humans to survive the flood. Then what?

- M4H

Adam and Eve weren't related. They also weren't the only people around.

Noah and his wife AND his kids and their wives all survived.

douche, read your goddamn bible. Eve is made from the rib of adam. If that doesn't make them related i don't know what does. And you chose to ignore all the crap about lot. Gawd. I'm not even christian, and I know this...

what the point? Sodom and Gomorrah were the chief cities of their "District" . . . i guess we needed a 'name' for sodomy. :p

the 'excuse' given by the bible was that Lot's daughters thought they were the only cities in the world and their dad was the last man. :p

Wasn't there an episode of The Simpsons where Bart went over to the Flanders' house and the kids were playing a board game without dice after their father took them away because they were "of the devil?"
