You guys wouldn't be as stressed out and rage so much if you leave sooner, drive defensively, leave room in front of you for those that don't use signals..etc. and for fucks sake, stop worrying about how things are supposed to be. What fantasy world do you live in anyway? The real world is harsh, brutal and unforgiving and no one follows every single moral, written and unwritten rule for everything. Stop worrying about the flow of traffic. Stop worrying about grandpa driving the wrong way and just try to avoid him instead. Stop worrying period about other people outside of you and your occupants and just go with the flow by leaving plenty early and expect the unexpected by paying the fuck attention....being safe and arriving safely is the only thing that defines what you're supposed to do because everything else is out of your control and isn't going to happen unless you can get everyone back into communism and force every driver to take driver's ed every 3 months and even that probably still won't stop most from driving like they do.

You realize not all cars have cruise control right? believe it or not, the cheaper 2015 dodge Ram still has manual windows, mirrors and door locks as do many other models these days.
Some vehicles have very sensitive pedals too with no tolerance to slight foot movements which means they'll end up slowing or speeding up here and there.
Also, CC is not always feasible or safe to use. You don't want to people to use it with slick roads for example.

You can't leave a proper gap, because an idiot will cut you off as he jumps into said gap.

You can't parallel park, because the idiot behind you has no idea what you are doing when you try. He pulls up right behind you and honks at you because you stopped.

Passing on the right? Well, you'll just have to do it.

Merge properly? Surely you jest. You just have to maneuver your way around the idiots as best you can. If you have to punch it and cut across the gore because an idiot is merging at 40mph, so be it.

I just don't worry about it much anymore. I do what I have to do to keep away from the morons.

Yep my 05 200k mile civic doesn't have cruise control. But I am sure you realize that the majority of cars do have cc yet this is still a problem even under safe conditions

Cruise control makes some people very nervous, like the car is almost driving itself but not quite. Something like that.


My biggest gripe with my car's cruise control is that the button isn't latching - it needs to be re-enabled every time the car is turned on. My old Elantra's button latched. I use it constantly, since that means I don't have to worry about my speed drifting. If I don't stay focused on it, I'll easily end up at 10 below the limit.

Folks that ride to closely... when there are 5-6 cars in a line ahead of them... that pisses me off to no end. If I am not able to pass the 5-6 cars ahead of me, riding my ass is not solving anything.

this shit happened to me yesterday. i was in left lane going like 65 (in a 65 zone) with like 3 cars in front of me and some POS red car came up behind me and was riding me. i drive a pretty low sports car (g37s) and i couldn't even see this guys headlights/hood in my mirror. i gave him a slight brake check to get him off my ass, and in hindsight that was a stupid ass idea because he was really close to me. but it got him off my ass for a little bit, then he was back on it again, and this time i didn't brake check him for fear of him rear ending me.

when i finally got a chance i merged over to the right lane so his dumb ass could pass me.
