Just a general note...I suppose you haven't heard about it. We get a TON of illegal immigrants and refugees from Africa (darfur and other troubled areas) because they consider us the "promised land" - the only country in the area that won't kill them on sight.
Unfortunately they also bring diseases (the bad ones, not silly flu) and some are just here to sell drugs, not much we can do about it if we don't know who is what, so they're all given the basics to survive anyway.
