So, I guess I'm safe if I defend Android and bash Apple... 😛

Apple does a lot of things right. There is always room to compliment, especially because in certain areas they put out a level of quality unmatched in the industry.

What offends nerds about Apple is they hold their punches on hardware specs, and they democratized computing to the point that a lot of tasks which at one point only we could do on a malware free PC is now available to your grandma in an iPad app.

well a couple more of them should be banned imho.

I believe there is an Apple specific sub-forum here, but a few of them prefer to viro-marketing their favorite brand here. I see right through that garbage.

Galaxy S5 rocks baby. That sounds so silly. I just cant make love to a phone. It is a communication device baby. A phone is not suppose to be a zombification device.

That works in both directions -- both Android and Apple obsessives are bad. You're not a unique snowflake because you bought an iPhone, nor are you a counterculture rebel because you got an Android phone. The moment you realize that a phone is just a tool, and that people on both platforms can accomplish virtually the same things in the real world, the easier it is to avoid tying your self-worth to your OS of choice.

I would say that there are probably more Android users here than iOS users, but I can't recall anyone getting banned for it, though there have been people on both sides of the debate that have had to take some time off.

If you think either TheStu or I are not acting impartial or inappropriately as moderators, I would encourage you to Private Message whichever us you are not complaining about.

If anything you guys are probably too lenient. Then again a lot of crap slinging has died down over time, so it probably isn't that necessary to bring down the hammer. Perhaps people have grown up a little, but I suspect the deluded fanatics from both sides have come to realize the superiority of Windows Phone and come over to the one true mobile operating system. 😀

I think we operate a bit more on the sidelines as moderators than most. I send a fair few private messages to people regarding posts and very rarely do the all-bold moderator blast-o-gram in threads, I very rarely lock threads, and I never delete posts unless they are spam. But personally, I think it's better for vigorous discussion to censor less rather than more.... so if you call that 'lenient' then I can agree with the term.

What are the odds the largest company in the history of the universe pays people to shill their products on some random tech nerd forum? VERY HIGH

I'm a fan of both, and I honestly think there are 0 paid Apple shills, Samsung, not so much, Samsung has been convicted of that very thing.

Having it out of site does make it more deceptive I guess, but I really can't complain. Compared to a lot of other places on the internet, this is a pretty good place for discussion.
