Why do pimples form when one uses a razor...

just wondering what causes the formation of pimples from using a razor blade instead of an electric shaver, and how to prevent it, ie. get new blades, don't shave so close?!? or use better shaving cream or something. thx for any info

Could just be normal irritation, or it could be an ingrown hair. That happens when the hair gets cut off beneath the skin and it grows sort of crooked and ends up trying to grow through the skin at an angle rather than through the pore.

you should try to exfoliate before shaving. no, this isn't just a thing chicks do. they have tons of "manly" products out there that work great. just get a good clenser and some type of spong that has a bit of a texture to it. this will help to take off any dead skin that is hanging around. usually this will work. also, try using a balm after oyu shave to stop irritation.

Oh I see. I'll give that a try. That's weird though. I had some similar problems and I usually shave after a shower. Hmm..
