why do people support Bush

I think to many Americans watch reality shows. Seems dishonesty gets rewarded with a $400,000 paycheck, with 250+ days having been spent on vacation. Compare that to Clinton, who spent less than 200 days vacaction during his 8yrs of presidency. I want my monies worth, and Bush doesn't deliver.

Because he has convinced people that as long as you are safe from terrorism, not having a good paying job and health benfits doesn't really matter. Oh, and don't worry about taxes because when you don't have a job, you don't pay taxes.

In this thread? No, and neither did you nor Rickn, hence the :cookie:
Do you ignore it because it doesn't fit your view of reality? Numbers say a lot. 😉

Your damn right they do, and they don't look that good for Kerry..

I think Bush can seal the deal this Thursday.

Good luck to Bush then. 😉

Do you actually believe that any politician, including the president actually performs "public service"? We haven't been getting our money's worth for a couple hundred years. On the contrary, we have been paying the politicians to rape us.

Atleast Clinton gave the illusion of doing a better job

ILLUSION IS RIGHT!

He was impeached because he was lying sob.

Correction, he spent less than 200 days in office doing anything. The rest of the time he was doing Hillary, Monica, US, etc.....

I was driving today. Ahead of me on the freeway were two relatively identical SUV's. One had a Bush/Cheney sticker in the window, the other, a Kerry/Edwards. While I have zero knowledge of each of the drivers, it intrigued me. I wanted to stop and ask each why they were going to vote the way they were.

Made me realize that I don't know or don't understand the reasons people are chosing to vote Bush/Cheney. I do see some pro's and con's to each, but for the life of me I can't understand how Kerry would be any worse than Bush or how Bush would be any better than Kerry.

So, I guess I'm still wondering why people support the candidate they've chosen, too.

This is much too shallow of an argument, imho. Yes, on the surface, taking much more vacation doesn't exactly give off the best vibe. But we're not privy to what actually gets done behind the scenes.

He rarely does 🙂. Anyways, I'd ignore him as he seems to be a Rip-clone that spawned in the past month or so. I mean 1357 posts from 8/26/04?

You have 3009 and you've yet to say anything useful. Which is worse?

This thread is the definition of trolling. Hence, :cookie:

Our society is built on competition. Competition is nothing but hate. The Republican party is THE party of hate as it personifies all that on which successful competitiveness rests, a lack of conscience. To successfully lack conscience a person requires a religion that disguises his or her hate as love and operates in the form of group-think. The resultant suppressed shame will leak out as self righteousness. The finger pointer among you is almost always Republican. The gas pressure in their asses eventually reaches the nose.

This seems like an interesting, original argument. Where did you get your data?

with 250+ days having been spent on vacation. Compare that to Clinton, who spent less than 200 days vacaction during his 8yrs of presidency.
how does this indicate how much people should support Bush? or do you think that 'vacation' for anyone in the presidency is a time that they spend not working?
Competition is nothing but hate.
isn't that nothing but a crass generalization?
:cookie:'s are good.

You do not see the big picture. Dub is a big picture guy. He does not deliver to you or me. We are just peons. Dub makes up for this by delivering for big business. He works hard giving them our money and rubber stamping their wishes. Republicans support redistributing income from the middle class to the rich.

they support him because they believe he has done a good job. that, in one of america's darkest moments, he has helped steer the country in a positive direction and is helping those that need it (domestic and otherwise). that what the people on this board seem to suggest to me. people i talk to that are supporting him are simply doing so "because he is the president" and "because he is republican" but those people dont really think about politics that seriously.

That's because he was hangin around the white house like a horny dog waiting for betty curry to escort the ""Portly Pepperpot" Monica back to his office for a bj.
I want my monies worth
HA! I bet you don't even pay any federal income tax...you want someonelse's money is what you really meant to say...
