Heh. Same thing here. A little coffee shop went in my small town recently. Your choices are espresso, cappachino or latte. No plain old coffee. Cheapest thing you can buy is $3.00 latte.

I heard the same argument about beer and liquer but there always seems to be someone willing to drink it.

I've paid $6 for one 12 oz bottle of beer at a grocery store. Of course I have the recipe for it and can make it for $.50/bottle. I just wanted to see if it was worth making.

Starbucks coffee is roasted too long (read burnt) and most pimply 16 year olds make espresso that tastes like burntasspresso. For this reason, I don't go to Starbucks. Now super sweet and creamy Dunkin' Donuts on the other hand...

The people that stop by a shop every morning and drop $3.00 for a cup of java on their way to work are pretty irresponsible though. Make up coffee pot before going to bed...set the alarm on it to start working when your alarm goes off...shower...get coffee...go to work.

Really, it's quicker and cheaper to brew your own than it is to stop by a place and get it.

But you could say the same thing about going out for lunch, dinner, to the bar, ect. It's just coffee is so ridiculously overpriced compared to what you can do it for on your own and with as little effort.

I don't know where you're getting those prices man. A cup of coffee at Starbucks is $1.55 + tax and a 12oz bag of beans is $10.

I totally agree..if this was 2 years ago. The SBucks around here has greatly improved since but yea, Dunkin makes surprisingly good coffee for the price. I'm talking about the regular unflavored black coffee, no sugar of course.
