Because they are stupid and think of a dog as an accessory to their home... no different from a lamp or a painting... except you have to feed it.
Because they are stupid and think of a dog as a trend instead of an animal, whether it be a pet or true companion.
Because they are stupid and think of a dog as a cat that actually cares about them.
Because they are stupid and don't understand that most small dogs usually are bred by people looking to make a quick buck by hocking living animals instead of giving a some other pet a home instead and prevent it from being put down.

The best dogs I've ever had were rescue dogs. I've never met a small dog that didn't annoy the shit out of me and/or was nothing but an untrained BARELY obedient showpiece to the owner.

Big dogs are also blue blood, high end estate dogs, not to mention that well trained ones bring joy and harmony to middle-class people everywhere.

Dogs only do what their owners allow them to do. So if you see a big, disgusting, smelly, and dirty dog trashing a house, it's because the owner was too stupid clean it and teach it how to behave in the house.

It's really no surprise that anything covered in fur gets a little bit stinky if you don't wash it and I'm quite certain that the size of the animal has little to do with the fact that most animals lack the skills to not only use modern amenities to clean themselves, but to use various soaps and shampoos to properly tackle dirt and odor. Even some humans don't posses these skills so don't give a beast a bad name because of its size.

Additionally, if you think a large dog will trash a house, maybe you should see what some small children and even full-grown adults can do to a house.

A dog, just like any other domesticated animal, only knows what domesticated habits you teach it to know.

What the fuck are you smokin'?

I've lived in many trailer parks in the past and many people own a DAMN DOG!
I had to get up many times in the middle of the night, complain to the person that their dog's barking, go back to bed, and continue to listen to the dogs bark all night. Worthless complaining to a hillbilly/redneck!

Since moving from FL to TN into a nice home, I still have fucking problems with dogs roaming around.

Question for all you Dog People................... Does TN have a Leash Law? I swear everyone on my block has a damn dog and let's it roam the neighborhood, pissing and shitting everywhere but their own yard!!!!!

A small dog fits well in an apartment. A little dog can get plenty of exercise running around the apartment. You don't need a yard.
