Well since I don't make music, of course, but I never asked how they compared to me. They just annoy the sh!t out of me.

I went to kiss 2 years ago, wound up in a sold out row with Steve Case. All the seats to the left and right of us were empty, but we were guests of the promoters. It was great.

good concerts, great gimmick/marketing, decent rock (mid 70's was better than decent rock).

go listen to Black Diamond, and then realize that was written in like 1973. a bit heavier than most tunes in that era

LOL, I didn't say they were songwriters of the calibre of Lennon-McCartney or even Tyler, just that they're icons. Show a picture of the band (in makeup!) to people in most any country on Earth and they'll recognize the band and probably know one or two of their songs.

I don't own any KISS CDs myself, and if I'm more of an AC/DC fan for hard rock, but I still must admit they're good at the lowbrow rock they're famous for.
