Well, this is more to clarify that I am not a racist red kneck.

you'll understand what Im talking about once you read this

So yes, I made a comment that most people would be offended about.... but do I not have the right to make a comment like that? I am full Japanese and have lived in the southwest side of Houston, TX (china town) for 23 years. I've not only dealt with asian people through business, but all my friends are asian also. So am I not entitled to comments like this? or do people just jump to conclusions too damn fast? Only 1 of the commentor was even smart enough to look through my profile and see my last name was saito.... yes, a very common Japanese last name.

Well, all in all I am just clarifying that I am not a racist red kneck.

well man we all have certain thoughts and feelings on certain subjects, it's what you do with them, and how well you deal them that matters. i do think sometimes we're too sensitive, but then those we rail against are still out there. so we keep up the fight. racism applies to those jokes, sly comments, etc even those of your own culture. just don't let it rule your way of thinking and you'll be one of the pack.

I gues the 'Austin Dialect' differs from the 'Dallas Dialect', local accent and enunciation on the vowels.

And this belongs in P&N, why?

Sorry, didnt know where else it would of went in. Although this is considered politics, isnt it?

*shrug* I suppose if the general theme of the thread was about the cultural influences and ramifications of making rash judgements, then perhaps. To me, it appears that you simply want to make it clear that you are not a "racist red kneck (sic)."

Perhaps FI or OT would be better suited?

Sometimes it's a relief to peck out some sarcastic humor,
rather than worry whether or not there's some sacred protocall to be followed in P & N.

Now get back out there and sling those guns.

poor grammar = poor communication = recipient has vastly different understanding of message than the one who sent it.
in a politics forum, things escalate quickly based on this.

why do people jump to conclusions on the internet?
----------------------

That's easy. Just ask yourself why you jumped to that conclusion.

Contrary to (apparently) popular belief, just because you aren't white doesn't mean you can't be racist, even against your own race. And from what I've heard, Asian cultures have some of the most racist tendencies in the world against other Asian groups.

The only person jumping to conclusions here is you, with your "I can't be racist, I'm Japanese" defense. Sorry, doesn't work like that.

That an along with the fact that I have first hand experience with asian businesses for the time I have been alive.

First off what conclusion are you talking about? One of the users here assumed that I was a red kneck hill billy from texas. Do they know me? No. I know for a fact that I am a very liberal open minded individual. So for another individual to tell me I am a red kneck racist from texas was not something I wanted to hear.

Please keep in mind that this was in no way a comment to offend anybody, and sorry for whoever did get offended. This was just a comment made from my experience.... with maybe a little smart alec in it.....
