the pluralization is already included! it's not supposed to be revolutions per minutes! :|

must be the same people who insist on calling the itbs the itbs test.

to, too and two
your and you're
its and it's
their, there and they're
etc...

It's just really annoying to see all of these little mistakes that aren't that hard to correct. When you fill out a job application and tell them that you had "too years of experiense at Blew Cross Blew Sheild" you look like a total assclown.

because there are no periods between the acronym. RPM has basically become a word rather than an acronym.

The same type of people that publish articles with the statement "....high rate of speed..."

Speed, by definition, IS a RATE. That makes the phrase "rate of speed" redundant.

nitpicky? yes. but also accurate.

um, no its not. by definition, its a quantity measured with respect to another measured quantity. which makes "rate of speed" perfectly acceptable.

there are no periods between most acronyms. RPM is still an acronym, not a word.

I agree it's kind of silly when you think about it.. but when you say:

"OMG i was driving fast and the RPM just stopped and the engine quit"

it looks odd..... heh
