I'm here at work and some guy can't even wait two minutes for his paper to print. I work in one of the many computer labs here at Purdue University and people can be so damn impatient. This guy started swearing at me wondering where his document was. I was like look man there are approximately 105 other people in here printing stuff too and you expect to be at the top of my list: I DON'T THINK SO...

you should get a friend to get on one of the computers in the lab and keep deleting this guy's print jobs from the queue until he gets so frusterated that he leaves. that would teach him to be impatient.

thatd be cool to do, but they have it setup here so that only certain people with specific access can do this. even i cant do this, i have to call a superior to do this

Too bad. In a first year physics lab, my partner and I would always delete other people's jobs from the printer queue. There was one printer for about 30 students. Needless to say, nobody else figured out what was going on (it was a really old lab so people just assumed the printers/computers were faulty), and we were always the first people to leave! 🙂
 
At the university that I went to some PhD CS student wrote a script so that all PhD student's print jobs automatically went to the top of the queue and all lecturer's went straight to the bottom. It took them quite a while to figure out why no lecturers were ever getting anything printed. 😀

Sometimes I'm impatient cause That's my mood at the time. Usually I'm not, but I can't really control it when I'm impatient.

No, I didn't know the guy, just heard about it from a friend who did. Besides it worked on differences in the usernames of regular students, PhD students and lecturers at our uni, I don't imagine it would be too useful anywhere else. 😉
