I guess you will have to excuse those of us who like to personalize our PCs with such "eye candy". You can get skins for virtually any media player these days.

Don't worry about it, we accept you being gay! :p

i second the use of zoomplayer, great interface with nice features. I especially like the seek feature with the wheel on your mouse.

its bloated... too much unnecessary frills... hogs resources... pushes propietary shlt on you... what happened to SIMPLE=Good?

i try to keep it to 6.4 as much as i can for videos, and let winamp handle sound files exclusively.

quicktime = crude as hell. buggy player, rudimental, annoying 'would you like to upgrade to pro' everytime you start...more propietary stuff... cant loop a video? cant play automaticcally? stupid pause instead of stop button?

real player has all the bad attributes above... and more. whats up with them trying to nazi-hog all the file association on your computer?

now that i typed this i realized how we have 3 gigahertz computers and 21" LCD wide screen monitors and yet not more than 1 DECENT piece of video software

Real Player = As bad as ads on the left of the forums!

It's too bloated for playing music but it's fine for watching pr0n, I mean videos.

because bsplayer is better. Whyt settle for "good enough" when you can have "much better"?

Many people just plain HATE a lot of things MS has and does. Media Player is a prime example of something you can hate and live without (unlikes Windows for most people). I don't use Media Player because of the alleged tracking habits it contains, I prever to use Zoomplayer instead.

I use WMP9 exclusively. I don't think Winamp sounds as good. It sounds like the signal is low. I tried turning up the gain on its built-in pre-amp, but then it sounds distorted. WMP9 with Turtle Beach's equalizer is great for me. I don't have Real Playter installed on my system, and just do without .ra files altogether.

The best MP3 player I've ever used was the AudioStation32 that came with my TB Montego II. The equalizer was excellent. Never heard PC music sound as good. Unfortunately, it didn't come with the Santa Cruz, and I don't feel like paying for it.
