Why do people hate on the WWE and love UFC?

Back in the day WWE was the UFC! But you had the naysayers that were jealous and had to start criticizing the sport of wrestling. UFC is just a modern day version of this venerable sport. Everyone knows this.

Maybe because the WWE is a soap opera for men and in the UFC they actually fight every single match?
 
I'm firmly of mind that the theatrics of "professional" wrestling borders on a highly retarded variety of homo-eroticism. At present, I don't feel MMA is the same way whatsoever. In fact, being fueled by testosterone, ego, sadism, and bloodlust, I find it has a certain honesty that can be attributed to it's primitive underpinnings.

UFC is a more brutal version of Boxing. Where people will just as happily place bets, bookies love it, the fights are real, and the talk and grudges are all real.

WWF, nee WWE, has always been about entertainment. Everything is staged, from the grudges, the terrible dialog in the show, etc. Nobody bets on WWE because there's nothing real to bet on.
 
Here's a +1 for WWF.....errr, my bad.....WWE! (Who didn't love seeing Jesse Ventura back at the mic w/ good old Vince "shutup" McMahon a couple weeks ago)

I watch w/ my kids these days and it makes it just as fun to watch them get upset & happy & yell at the TV as I did when I was a kid.

Ya, I enjoy the heck out of UFC myself, but just like the fairies who call themselves men will sit down and watch sh!t like Lost, Flash Forward, House, (enter name of sitcom/dramcom here) it's all just another bunch of actors shoveling sh!t every week.

Here's one big diff, however, w/ the WWE (and this is what I tell my wife when she's watching an episode of NCIS that she's seen 3 times before already)..........WWE DOESN'T DO RERUNS. (Not bad for a 30+ yr old franchise if you ask me)
