Why do people hate hitler or Mussolini?? Blood on the floor aside there isn't much difference. Utopian Tyranny and lies is Utopian Tyranny and lies no matter how you smoke or mirror it.

Record high average US gas price was $4.12/gallon in July, 2008. Average price today is $3.85. Would you like to apologize before I report you?

It's funny because I recall people blaming Bush for the high gas prices back then. It wasn't any more correct then than it is now to blame Obama. I think it's time that the public get educated about what really causes these fluctuations in gas prices.

What a BS site.
"Begin removing combat brigades from Iraq" - Promise Kept - Obama promised to have the troops out by March 31st of 2009.
"Bring Democrats and Republicans together to pass an agenda" - Stalled - Might stop laughing at that one in a few days.
Restrict warrantless wiretaps - Compromise - If Compromise means take it to the next level, then yes.

Not even mentioned on that site or I didn't find them
Cut the deficit in half by the end of my first term.
End our dependence on foreign oil
Mettings where laws are written will be more open to the public
Public will have 5 days to view a bill before Obama signs it

what's not mentioned when Obama touts pulling troops out of Iraq is that he wanted to leave tens of thousands of soldiers there, but was ultimately forced by the Iraqi government to GTFO

I hate no one. I disagree with Obama living like an emperor on our dime. He's so smart the rest of us have to weep at his intelligence like when he says that all the drilling won't cover our usage... really, genius? So our best course of action, according to him, is to do fucking nothing. Oh, wait... check the air in our tires. There, fixed! What a complete hack.

Pretty close to the promises from the Contract with American from the Republicans in actually keeping to them to the letter huh?

No..a one month spike in prices doesn't mean crap. Average prices are much higher now than they were during Bush's tenure. I guarantee people are paying more now they they ever have.

Also, if you want to compare apples to apples, wait to see what it is come this July. Higher than $4.12 a gallon. We are about 60 cents higher now than at the same time four years ago.

Biff is one of the most consistently wrong people on this forum. If he had to post to admit it each time he was wrong then half his post count would be him admitting the other half he was wrong. I got a warning for calling him on it when he was obviously lying. He just had factual evidence prove that he was incorrectly calling someone a liar. I don't report, anyone else want to?

One of my friends live in a small European country and he told me, that every time they had a "socialist" or " left-wing" government their deficit rose.

Looks like the socialist are just a bunch of spendthrifts who cannot see beyond their noses.

Says the noob with no history, here, and nothing to back up his loud mouth.

If all you have to go on is what "one of [your] friends [who] lives in a small European country" has to say, I doubt if you could define the word, "socialist," let alone say anything intelligent about it.

From your post, I have to wonder if you are an American citizen or resident? If not, WTF are you doing in this discussion?

Ldir's OP that I called out was blatant. He was trying to point out how Bush somehow is an anti-American socialist compared to Obama. He was giving a sort of tally of what was worse with Bush. He stated gas prices as being higher. He then clarified by saying they spiked to a higher average under Bush. If you are going to attack a president on the price of gas as being part of his anti-American socialism, is it really fair to attack him for a spike in price that accounted for 3-4% of the time he held office?

Go ahead and start a crusade. Facts are on my side here. Gas was not higher under Bush. Gas may have briefly spiked higher under Bush but to attack/grade him for a spike that accounted for 3% of his tenure is patently partisan and deceitful. I will not apologize for calling someone out for what they know they were doing on purpose. Now you turn around and attack me as being wrong. I have brought facts and math...you have done nothing but post drivel.

Bush was diverting domestic production and imports to fill the strategic reserves when oil prices were spiking. He was also stoking uncertainty in the ME with his excellent adventures and with us or against us diplomacy.

How about we ctiticize a president for something he can actually impact to any great, long term extent?

I agree. I wasn't saying anything as to the whether this argument had any warrant as far as the application of the discussion but I was trying to clear up some blatant falsehoods on the topic nonetheless. Hence why I specifically said this...

If you are going to attack a president on the price of gas

That is a blatant lie. I only showed how dumb piasabird's comment was. He is the one who said high gas prices made Obama an anti-American socialist. I rubbed his nose in his own ignorance. Then I rubbed your nose in yours. But you keep doubling down on your own fail.

The falsehood is you denying gas prices were higher under Bush. They were. It is a fact. They may go higher under Obama but they have not yet. You were wrong.

Nope. The falsehood is you using a spike in prices for a month to attack and label an entire presidency as anti-American socialism.
