why do people hate flash so much?

I don't like it because I like simple, clean pages. It's fine for stuff like online cartoons or whatever, but I like sleek, small web sites.

You can also use the mosaic, or stained glass or other filters. Show some creativity...

Anywyas. I think the 007 site is better than the German one. The 007 one is newer. I am working on a new one, but its for a friend. Its a portfolio and I think it looks amazing. Unfortunately I can't share it with the rest of you, because of her privacy. When I get a chance, I want to design a new site for myself. I also need to update the old and current ones.

Hey! Maybe you should read that thread! Ms. Threadhijacker! Stop changing the subject here. I asked a question about flash and am also curious what people think of my site. Not what you and Millenium want to argue about. So stop provoking him and trying to hijack my thread.

I don't like the whole flash thing, but I think the pictures are wonderful.

Actually, he only asked me to stop posting because it was destroying his thread. It didn't have anything to do with his perception of you. You are as much of a stuck up twat to him as you are to me. The sweet sweet irony is me getting a lecture on photos from someone who puts a big black box on all of hers 😛 Couldnt even make it interesting, just a big black box... then she has the nerve to tell me her skills are better than mine 😛 Just no reasoning with some people. *shaking head* Well I'm off to bed now. It looks good, but it does hit a bunch of my personal pet peeves. (Though not too hard.) The flash intro is cute, but it is pretty long and it wasn't obvious at first that the little arrow was a "skip intro" function. I'm not fond of having new windows pop up with each mouse click (four windows to get to a picture), I don't generally care for nonstandard navigation functions that are left out like a puzzle for the visitor to decipher, and not having the standard navigation and informational window functions bugs me (which is another complaint I have about flash in general).

All that being said, it's pretty clean and it works and I can certainly see it being a portfolio/demo piece.

I didn't understand the links page, though; the only function that seemed to have any effect was the button on the phone that cleared the screen. That didn't seem like a very useful function. Also, the second picture in the second German album came up as a broken graphic.
 
The same reason people hate frames.
Because too many sites are designed with it and happen to be sh!tty. Nothing to do with flash, but rather people getting paid to produce crap w/ it.

Yea, I never got around to changing it. It had to do with daylight savings time and things getting all goofed up, becaue it bases the Germany time off the clock in your computer.

Click on teh phone to open it. Then you click on the buttons to get different links.
