I get a little angry, but then I forget about it.

I will tailgate them if they pull out in front of me in the fast lane and do the speed limit or less. But thats it. If they don't slow me down way much, I don't care.

The problem is, because of physics, being stupid can make it a game where you're playing for keeps. :Q

I want a bumper sticker that says, Drive carefully. Newton was right!

Two masses cannot occupy the same space at the same time. It causes dents and other broken things, like bodies.

A body in motion tends to remain in motion at a constant velocity and direction. That is, it takes more energy to stop or turn out of the way than it does to plow into whatever's in front of you.

I also want another bumper sticker that says. Warning! I brake for tailgaiters! :disgust:

We're all going to die, someday, but you don't have to be stupid enough to volunteer for it.

it bothers me, i don't know why, i never would want to fight over it though. In a few seconds i try to reason why that person is such a dumba$$. What realy pisses me off is when people who can merge behind me, decides to stay in the merging lane in the right, speed up, and try to cut me off, and people who don't signal. Why don't people signal? are they too cool to signal? are they just too "chill" that they cant raise their left hand appx 2 foot from their balls? Its dangerous to not signal!

i don't get that pissed off, but it irritates me because these people usually don't signal or anything, and you have no warning.

Really it depends. I generally brush it off, because I know it's nothing personal, and it's rarely even dangerous, since I can see it happening and the person expects - rightfully so - for me to let them in. In fact that's not really a cut off is it :) A genuine cutoff I'll honk.

Funny this morning some woman in a prius didn't want to let me in on the highway as I was merging but I squeezed in closely anyway. Then a few miles later she had the chance to pass me on the inside and swoop in front of me. Whoo hoo horay for her! 1/4 mile later I pulled out and passed her and the person in front of her on the inside. Maxima > Prius.

I think I misinterpreted my thoughts here. I don't think driving is like a video game with no consequences for bad decisions. I just don't think its something that should be taken seriously. Many people I know will see someone do some common, absent-minded, or careless driver mistake, and get pissed as if their actions are a personal attack. Like when someone doesn't immediately go at a stoplight and people start honking frantically... just so they can stop a 1/4 mile later at the next light.

I get the feeling that when certain people get wronged in traffic, it becomes an issue of pride.
They feel like someone has personally wronged them and they have to prove something. Maybe I'm crazy. Maybe we're all in need of good pancake hats.

I don't get cut off, because I won't let you in if you're so stupid to wait until the last second or try to pull some lame stunt. Miss your turn/exit? No skin off my back.

Only one type of person bothers me on the road. Lets say it's rush hour I'm on a offramp and slowly crawling along with everyone else, some smart ass will try to come up on the shoulder and cut in, at which point I happily block him off.
