Don't take it too seriously. Everyone does a middle eastern accent when pretending to be a 7-11 clerk.

yeah, and we all know that 7-11 clerks are all Indian, not Middle eastern...

*Lots* of Vietnamese guys had long fingernails in highschool. Not just the thumb, which people use for certain things. I asked a guy once, and he said that you can sell large pieces of fingernail for money.

I still don't believe it, but it seems relevant. 😉

eh so why do vietnamese people assumed to do nails??

is there a lot of vietnamese people in nail shops??

there is in my town, but i dont assume all the vietnamese here do nails

though, considering the very low number of vietnamese people in this town and that there are several nail shops run by vietnamese here, i probably could and wouldnt be mistaken.

oh wait, one guy i know who runs a place with his wife is south korean, nice guy.

???????????? Why? because i'm vietnamese? Went to the postoffice to send some packages back to Newegg. The vietnamese lady there ask if i'm a nail tech.

Are you gay(I mean this literally, as in homosexual)?

And if you are, are you "flaming" in terms of how you talk?

That might contribute to people thinking you do nails.

Indian people seem to own a lot of convienence stores and laundromats.. My Indian friend told me that the reason her family and why she believes a lot of people from India own convenience stores is because they're affordable to start up and they preserve family independence. They're not a corporate culture kind of people (according to her).

Just felt like pointing out another stereotype.

There are also alot of Patel's that are in the hotel business. I know of 4 Patel's and 3 of the 4 have family that either own or manage one.

where i went to high school, the patel's were really wealthy. fremont, ca, aka the indian capital of the bay area. i think a lot of them were software engineers. or physicians.

haha i'm vietnamese too! and everybody always asked if my mom or sisters does nails. but goddam they make hella money!

I got my nails done yesterday by a vietnamese man...

but it's really rude that a lady randomly asks you if you did nails. you should've punched her in the face for being a dumbass.

I hate when people generalize like that...bah.
