Why do peolpe use "dang" instead of "damn"?

Luckily for them, God only listens to what you say, but doesn't know or care about what you think. :awe:My neighbor is a "good Catholic" and doesn't swear..."Oh "S"...or "What the "F?" But never actually says the word...
I noticed much the same thing when we lived in Utah...the Mormons would often substitute a "non-offending" word in place of a cuss word...

:awe:Matthew 15:19 (King James Version)
For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies
George Washington - The foolish and wicked practice of profane cursing and swearing is a vice so mean and low that every person of sense and character detests and despises it
Malcolm X - "people only swear because they don't have the words to express themselves."
Luke 6:45 - "A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh."
I do not curse because its a foul act that should be avoided at all cost, and I wish to set a good example for my children.
I also believe that the mouth is a reflection of the heart, foul mouth = foul heart. For the good man will bring out of mouth wish is good, and the person whos heart is foul and evil, will speak foul and evil words.

I don't get it. I also don't understand when people say *beep* in place of "fuck" or "shit" when they're speaking. What's the point in that? We know what you're thinking, and you're not hiding anything.
because they dont want to get reported by me
which you have now been
reported, that is
Why do peolpe use "dang" instead of "damn"?
I know.actually a lot of religious people believe it does matter what you think, i.e. you can sin by just thinking of bad stuff
:awe:
I'm sure he does it out of the purest of love, too.The Bible actually says something specifically about damnation. It says something along the lines of only God having the authority to damn someone or something to Hell.
