And we didn't have many video games because games were incredibly expensive. The game cart easily added $20-30 to the price of every game. Prices went way down when companies started making CD and DVD based systems. It wasn't unusual to only own 3 or 4 nintendo games and rent from the store or go to a friend's house to play their games.
