Because of this thread, I have seen the light.

My first born son will be named Sharpie.

My first daughter shall be named Schweppes.

After that, I'll probably stick to fruits, unless they're in the Bible of course.

My first is named
Satya Morrigan
Satya is sanskrit for truthfulness and Morrigan is the Celtic goddess of war

Our oldest daughter is named Morganne, a corruption of Morrigan
Our youngest is named Zoe, greek for "life" and apparently a Byzantine empress
I myself have a name from greek mythology.
I don't recall coming upon "nakedfrog" in my research of greek mythology :p

lol

My family has nine children. Our family is very christian. There names are:

Andrew
Aaron
Benjamin
Katie
David
Matthew
Michael
Hannah
James

I guess the girls aren't going to heaven. :D

Um wrong. A good amount of the guy names are either Biblical names, or derived from Biblical names. I didn't even bother checking out the girls names.

Also, did you forget about the whole Saint thing too? Guess what, some of those names are also the names of Saints, whom people sometimes honor by giving their children those names.

Who cares? Why do people name their children after cars (Lexus, Mercedes, and Porsche)? Why give kids stupid names like Connor and Seth? Why spell your kid's name slightly differently than everyone else? WHO CARES?

Well, the wife and I are naming our first child either Padraig (pronounced Patrick) if it's a boy, or Tara if it's a girl... a reflection of being Irish.

So is Morgan a biblical name. My mom said she read it in a book, but didn't remember which one. And I really think if it had been the bible she would have remembered.

Well im waiting....
enlighten me.

Saints? Saints were made up by the catholic church. no-one outside of them recognizes them as being bible related material.

Show me anyone of those names being printed in the BIBLE... on which page which verse.

Yeah, you're right. Funny, I thought most names could be found in the Bible.

Nonetheless, your argument is still pointless.

Because Matthew, Mark, Luke, or John are more appealing than Cow's Head (Cabeza de Vaca - famous Spainish explorer.) Because Prince wore out that whole symbol 'name' thing and made it worse by insisting on being called "The Artist".

Hey, I am George, which in Gaelic or such means Farmer. Modern versions of the same, call your kid "Sanitation Engineer", "Programmer", "Geek", "Crack Ho", "or "Dental Hygenist". Just does not work for me either... :D
