Parents b**** at each other cause they are bored senseless and they would rather scream at the other person than take the time out to do the boring task of looking for the solution to their problem! They are really just tired and aggitated or hungry, and on top of that probably need some nooky or something else that they haven't figured out yet. My parents always bickered. My mom would always started it. My dad would always say "Your mom isn't happy unless she has something to b**** about".I personally could not comprehend not being able gripe at someone for or about anything.I guess I inherited it from my mother.I think it is healthy to gripe and complain as long as you both know inside that its only words. :)

apoppin,

<< Why does anyone argue over stupid stuff? Way too complex to get into in a relationship >>

Not always...My girlfriend and I fight a lot simply because we're both stubborn pains in the ass. :)

NFS4,

<< My dad is wrong 90% of the time >>

Ha! Say that again in 5 years, and I'll believe you :) To answer your original question, who knows? Some people have problems, others just like to fight. My parents never argued about stupid things, but I know plenty of married couples that do. If my girlfriend are ever unfortunate enough to have children, I'm sure we'll be like that. I'll remember about the mosquitos, though.

<< Basically I just tell him to shut up and throw all the stupid things he's done in his face. So instead of yelling at me now he yells at my mom about me. >>

Ah, memories, lol. I remember saying all these things when I was young. Then one day your standing there, and it hits you. Boom, you have turned into your mother (or father). Scary experience, I will warn you all! :D

Omg, I get so pissed at my dad. He'll say I spend too much time on the computer (which I think I actually do sometimes) but I always get out and hang out with friends. But then he'll watch CNN news the whole damn day and drink coffee and take naps. And he gets pissed when I sleep late (and stay up late) even though it is MY SUMMER BREAK off of school. Yet, it's fine when he sleeps till 1 or 2pm even though he didn't have to work that night or anything. And for some reason, he thinks I eat really bad. I was eating cereal and milk for lunch (which is fairly healthy) and he comes and says "blah blah your not gonna grow blah that's not very good blah blah cereal for lunch?!" but he likes to go on these eating things where he eats ice cream, potato chips, etc...

Of course I love my dad alot, just sometimes he pisses me off. Of course, anyone can do that...

Just thought I would rant a little.

GirlFriday, far scarier is the experience where you realize what a pain in the ass you were all those years, and that your parents actually knew what they were talking about...:)

Ah yes, to be young and have all the answers again :) :) I have a sign on my office wall that reads "Why didn't God give me all my problems back when I was 16 and had all the solutions and answers?" :p

In a few years folks, you'll know EXACTLY what that means :)

Anyway, I've always loved my parents, but me and my dad would get into it sometimes. We're both stubborn, and always right of course ;) Thing is, I found that with every year of maturity that I gained, I gained a great deal of respect for the man. Now I only wish that I could be half the man he is :)

Are you kidding? I love it when they do that! It's the greatest! I even egg them on!

Dad: Did you bring the thermos?

Mom: Yes, wait....Ack, I can't find it.

Dad: Let me guess, you left it at home. How many times must I...

Mom: Found it! (sticks toungue out at him)

Dad: Well if you would just learn how to pack neatly...

Me: Yeah, mom, you just stuff things in bags and head out the door.

Mom: I do not and yor father is the one who should pack his coffee

Me: Yeah dad! Always telling me to take care of my own stuff!

Dad: I had specifically told your mother to pack it. It's not my fault she gets it lost in the process.

Me: He's right mom! What happens if you lost our vacation money?

Mom: Well I have 5 giant bags here in the leg room because your father insisted that he needs them during the trip and it takes time to find something through all this.

Me: Geez, dad, are you bringing your work with you!

Parents: Shutup!

Tons of fun! :)

I really can't relate. My parents got along absolutely great. In 19 years of living at home, I witnessed about 3 arguments between my parents. They were soulmates if there ever was such a thing.

They were married for 35 years before my Father passed away.

Well as a new father, I will take what you have said to heart NSF4. I pledge to never argue about stupid stuff in front of my daughter. I do not want her frequenting these hardware sites in the future complaining about my wife and I... ;)

my parents and i don't argue that much...

they don't speak english, i barely speak chinese :Q. :p

--

I hate it when my mom cleans my room. so, now, instead of punching holes in the drywall, or throwing chairs across the room, breaking glassware, and stuff, i take a container, fill it with some water, and pour it over her head. i am really able to control my anger now. if it was not my mother, i think i would have taken a life over a fit of rage a while ago. Oh, i have 2 broken windows, the single pane ones (before float glass was implemented, so they were old).
