I can sneeze with my eyes open if I try - but generally do it normally, so my eyes close reflexively.

Because you are sitting there from anywhere between 5-30 minutes squeezing the same muscles that are used when urinating, which we do more often. When pissing, we are standing up, therefore our body isn't in the right in the right position to squeeze out solid waste from our anal sphyncter.
