I just ordered a plextor, it is a refirb, so it will not come with any software. I have adaptec plat. 5.0 and am replacing a lite-on with nero and incd. The Direct cd will not work with the lite-on, in fact I uninstalled it because it kept hanging up the system.
But I have tried an iomega 16/10/40 and it does not work with direct cd. Almost any lite-on I have tried will not work with direct cd. What is the deal. I hope my new plextor does, since the incd version I have only works with the lite-on, which I do not understand as well.
