Why do old guys buy toppers/shells for their trucks?

For trucks, the option is sort of like a spray on epoxy. It permanently sticks to the bed of the truck.

Having owned a truck for five years, I am familiar with spray-in bedliners. The Tacoma's bed IS COMPOSITE. It's not an option, it's not a coating, it's what it's manufactured from. Or, I could refer you to my earlier post..
