why do my svcd's on the computer not have the right video size?

instead of the bars being only on the top and bottom in a widescreen, the sides have bars too. the image looks slightly strechted, any way to fix this without resizing the video?

Make sure you install some kind of dvd viewing software. After that you should be fine.

If you're using WMP to play it, that's how it's goign to show up... you need a DVD player.
