I just watched titanic again and god damn!! That is one sad movie... they all died, and the irish mom with her two kids telling them a story as the ship sank, the two old people in their bed as water was rushing underneath them, only 1 boat coming back, the guy who shot himself and two others, the mom and her baby... oh and jack dying at the end too.

It genuinely moved me... i first saw titanic when i was about 11 or 12, and i felt nothing, it just wasent sad. Why is it sad now?

One of my big ones is Big Fish. Talk about making a grown man cry.
 
You have come to realize your own mortality, as well you matured enough you are able to be empathetic. Something you really don't have at a young age. Also, you might find movies you come to associate with. If I see a movie about a mother with a chronic illness suffering I lose it, because it reminds me of my own mother.

:thumbsup: That movie hit me hard because of my relationship with my mother. It made me realize that I need to accept her for who she is, even with all her flaws.
 
Movies don't make me cry the same way books do. Not even gonna lie, The Dogs of Babel... I was so sad. 🙁 I can't imagine what that poor man went through, having to cope with the mysterious death of his wife.
