Why do liberals hate America?

On another forum that I sometimes frequent (a rabid right-wing place not unlike Freeperville), I saw this reply to a YALHA (Yet Another Liberals Hate America) post and thought that it was a pretty good comeback to the "Liberals hate America" and the just-as-frequently-used "Liberalism is akin to terrorism" mularky:

It's still a pretty lame rhetorical device. Comparing "liberals" to "the terrorists" is pretty stoopid. It just another aspect of accusing them of being "anti-American."

Liberals don't believe in using violence to push their agenda, conservatives -- and terrorists -- do.

Liberals don't believe that their religion is more important than other people's. Conservatives -- and Islamic terrorists -- do.

Liberals believe that justice is justice and everyone deserves certain basic human rights. Conservatives -- and terrorists -- think that some people are not human enough to be treated with dignity.

Liberals believe in the rule of law. Neo-conservatives -- and terrorists -- believe that ideology can place you above the law.

I'd like to hear from the resident "Liberals are evil" crowd about whether or not they think that these are as accurate of stereotypes of conservatives as the ones that they continue to spew about liberals.

Conservatives:"You Liberals hate America"
Liberals: "No, you Conservatives hate America more."
Conservatives: "No, you Liberals hate America the most"
Liberals: *insert name calling or random political insult relating to Nazi Germany*
Conservatives: *insert more namecalling and throw down the Communist card*
(this usually goes on for a several dozen posts or until everyone loses interest)

QFT. This is exactly why I don't bother with those kinds of forums. Arguments like that accomplish nothing. They just polarize people a little more.
 
It's not a question of who hates America more.
It's a question of who wants to change America more.
The traditional Democrats and Conservatives are pretty close in that they want to make about the same amount of changes just in different directions.
The neo-cons want drastic change and are even willing to bankrupt the country to achieve their aims.
So if you equate as I do 'hating' America by your dissatisfaction with America as it is then the neo-cons 'hate' America as much as the Communists do.
 
vote a liberal in and we get higher taxes, bogus gun control laws, more bloated social programs, more gov't regulations

vote a neo-con in and we get bigger gov't, more police state, bogus wars, secrecy, corporate favortism

in the end we always lose
 
That's why there needs to be a *third* party that takes the best of both Dems and Repubs and drops all of the crap. I'd sketch out the basic platform if I had more time to do so this morning. 😀

Do it and I am pretty sure that I will sign up. Just about anything that you put together would be better than that of the two options currently on the table.

Basic human rights is the right for every living human being to be treated equally regardless of race, gender, nationality, religion, sexual orientation etc.

Liberals are terrorists sympathizers. I wouldn't go as far as calling them terrorists though. But, like terrorists, they actually love and feed off negative press. IED blowing up young marines, and the liberals get jolly off it.

of course many liberals take offense to the whole "creator" bit in that statement, don't they?

actually, i'd go with john locke, that we should have the rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of property... property is somehting libs have problems with too (and life for unborns of course... )

As a liberal, a tree-hugging liberal, I am for life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, without governmental interference into my private life. I also believe in caring for those less fortunate, which falls under the whole pursuit of happiness, and maybe under life, and before you break out your pro-life off tune drum, relax, i am not pro-abortion, I just feel that an individuals right to choose is just that, their right, and no matter how many times you shove your god into the discussion, it's still their right, and they may not even believe in your god, which is also their right, under the whole freedom of expression and religion thingy.
So go on, flame me, I really don't care, you're at best a one trick pony that has his show closing very soon.
Enjoy firebombing the planned parenthood clinics, you're so pro-life.

belief in God i a properly basic belief. won't say anymore on the subject in this thread, my purpose wasn't to "prove" God's existence, but to prove liberals' problems with the notion that we are "endowed by our Creator with rights..."

My dear Sir, those rights do not exist as a matter of belief but because they are self evident, just as stated. Do you argue that you are not entitled to life liberty and the pursuit of happiness within the limits that you have this freedom up to the point where you begin to infringe of the freedom of others to do the same?

I should think your faith in this truth is self evident to you, no?
