1) What taxes have been raised?

2) What has been pushed through congress against the will of the majority.

I don't expect you can/will answer either one. Neither can the teabaggers. :)

Taxes are raised constantly. Do you disagree with this? The government doesn't magically get money, you know.

Obamacare is unpopular, by a majority of people. Again, you realize this, right? And I didn't say it was passed, brblx said indirectly that it (or similar programs) should be passed, regardless of what the majority thinks.

It's not that hard.

No, in fact it had everything to do with the Crown restricting free trade and not allowing a private company to do business without paying an unreasonable tax. Restricting free trade...hey, sounds like Obamacare!

bzzt. go read a history book.

i'll give you another hint- the fact that the teabaggers support corporate entitlement goes directly against why people were protesting the east india trade company.

you want to throw a 'tea party,' go protest walmart.

Yes, certainly, opposing higher taxes is hating America. The only people who hate America are the bigots from both parties pushing their ideology through Congress against the will of the majority.

Fixed for ya ;)

I find this quite comical. Faux outrage over namecalling a group by a name they gave themselves:) Not to mention that said group is possibly the most blatant name callers in the history of the written word. If I only had a dollar for every racist, deragatory, disrespectful slur they have flung at the president I'd be a wealthy man.

Hell, I'd take a quarter for each and still be wealthy.

This thread is pure troll. The term didn't come from libs or dems or pros. It came from the group that is purporting "outrage" over being called what they came up with themselves. Please go away. I wish mods would be a bit more responsible and delete threads like this. I'm all for free speech, but just spreading lies and trying to incite flames and comments doesn't belong on a message board for free debate.

You mean there is something unamerican about expecting those that benifit the most from our system of goverment to pay the most to support it? They don't seem to mind a bit when it comers to bankrolling special interest lobbyists??

Go away johhny, I think I hear your mother calling. And take you stupid ball with you.

1) Raised as in increased, or are you being intellectually dishonest on purpose?

2) Majority of people are in fact for healthcare reform. Just not the watered down version that made it through due to all the "death panel" etc. bs propaganda. Recent polling shows that repubs in congress are actually more out of line with what the public wants.

I really want to know what your previous username(s) was(were) ...

elitism

Elitism is the belief or attitude that those individuals who are considered members of the elite — a select group of people with outstanding personal abilities, intellect, wealth, specialized training or experience, or other distinctive attributes — are those whose views on a matter are to be taken the most seriously or carry the most weight or those who view their own views as so; whose views and/or actions are most likely to be constructive to society as a whole; or whose extraordinary skills, abilities or wisdom render them especially fit to govern.[1] Alternatively, the term elitism may be used to describe a situation in which power is concentrated in the hands of the elite. Those opposed to elitism are considered supporters of anti-elitism, populism or the political theory of pluralism. Elite theory is the sociological or political science analysis of elite influence in society - elite theorists regard pluralism as a utopian ideal.

Thread: Why do liberals call tea party'ers teabaggers

A few highlights from the "convention" ...

Former congressman Tom Tancredo accused the president of being a "committed socialist ideologue" and proposed a civic literacy test for voting.

WorldNet Daily founder Joseph Farah used his post-dinner speech, covered by C-Span, to repeat "Birther" claims.

Alabama gubernatorial candidate and former state Supreme Court chief justice Roy Moore _________ (insert your own joke here)

And, lest we forget ... that lady that needed simple crib notes on her palm to describe her principles.

Hah - best not throw stones in (teleprompter) glass houses :)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Oh Jesus Christ on a crutch, the President who made the best use of the teleprompter was Ronald Reagan. Yes, Obama may be over addicted to the use of a teleprompter when dealing with pre-prepared remarks, but anyone who listened to Obama's off the cuff explanations to Joe the Plumber could not miss the fact that Obama was both articulate and had long ago considered all of the aspects of tax policy.

But now, like a big lie and a broken damn record, all the righty tighties get their panties all up in a bunch because Obama uses a teleprompter. Rightly or wrongly, he is President of the United States, with near infinite calls on his time, yet some of you idiots expect Obama to spend the endless hours it would take to memorize every line of every speech. GET REAL.

Its a basic non issue so get a damn life.

At least Obama does not rely on slogans to oversimplify complex issues.

Funny, Obama didn't have a teleprompter when he left the House Republican caucus gasping for air, flopping around like fish out of water... but they're doing their best to try to look good while avoiding a repeat performance...

The whole thing with the Tea Party and their reception of the Sarah! reminds me of a Faith-healer getting on stage after a few hymns from the choir...

Calling people names is what Liberals do best second only after lying.

Agreed.

Liberals are keenly aware that their time is over. It is the view of the political gallows in the distance that enrages them. The cause of their psychosis.

They have overplayed their hand. We will show no mercy as the political pendulum swings back to the Conservative.

I'm looking forward to it. How bout you?

Rofl - try reading something other than left-wing blogs for a change, his reliance on the teleprompter (and inability to speak coherently when it malfunctions) is already the stuff of legend.

Sigh, he uses a teleprompter. Whoop dee doo! I was assuming you too were one of the loons that keep saying he uses it EVERYWHERE such as speaking to 6th graders, which he did not do.

You want to know something though? This is just my opinion, but being able to memorize every word of every speech you want to give doesn't make you a great leader in my opinion. Actions speak louder than words and I only care SOLELY on his leadership actions. He uses a teleprompter which tells me, A) he's human and can't remember everything and B) Realizes he's human and is professional about it and uses the best tool for the job to get the job done.

Your hand is NOT the best tool for the job and it not professional. Using a teleprompter does not lead me to believe that he is unable to lead our country in anyway. If he scrawled and scribbled notes on his hand, that would lead me to believe that his lack of professionalism may just shed light on how professional he would be leading this country. How would it look if one of leaders was meeting foreign dignitaries and happened to smear ink on the hands of people he had to give a handshake to because of notes he had to write?

Bah. Go complain about something with actual substance when it comes to Obama. I have complaints and I've stated them. Reading from a teleprompter isn't one of them. Palin reading from her hand is.

Anyhow, this point is completely off topic so I'll leave it at this.

I also already stated what I needed to for the original topic.
