Some people leave because they want women with bigger breasts (seriously, I know a guy who had a Japanese friend who saw that as a big draw), others leave because they find the society stiffling (it tends to disapprove of individuality and being yourself), some get sick of the amount of perversion there (many examples in media aside, women, and even men, will get groped all the time in the always-crowded subway trains).

I would think it would be for the much greater freedom here. Freedom of expression, freedom to start any kind of business that you want wherever you want. That and the thick juicy steaks.
