Why do I tear when i'm falling asleep?

It occurs when i yawn, or just when i'm straight out tired. Not to mention that it's incredibly annoying. Why does it happen?

I tear when I yawn sometimes, and when I laugh, seldomly while/after sleeping, but I can imagine it does happen to people.

Your just a wuss.

Any reason in particular you bolded that?

lol, maybe he's trying to be funny?

anyhow, i always get teary eyed when i'm tired, my contact lens are out, and i'm lying down. if i'm standing or sitting it usually doesn't happen, but that could possibly be due to my contact lens always keeping my eyes dry.

Everyone does. What do you think causes the gooey, crusty "sleep" in your eyes when you wake up?

Your eyes are tired, and over dry. They are just trying to moisten themselves up a bit.

Do you get headaches after you eat lunch?

Nope, no headaches either. It's odd because seems to leak excessively. I often leave wet spots... on my pillow! :Q
