My linksys 802.11b wireless 4 port router needs to be rebooted once a week (perhaps 2). I have a linksys USB wireless adapter for my home computer and a wireless pcmcia Orinoco Gold card in my laptop. No wired connection to the router. Everything is almost stock, with no encryption used. Everthing works great, but I notice after a week that my internet performance just sucks! If I reboot my router, the performance jumps back up.
This is a bit of a pain because it never get's an IP from my cable modem right after reboot, I need to then reboot the cable modem as well. I also generally need to reboot my PC's as well. Any idea on what is going on and what I can do to fix this?
