I don't see how it can't be an easy fix... all they have to do is change "padding: 9px;" to "padding: 9px 0;". Of course, I know they're busy and have priorities, but this definitely needs to be on the fix-at-some-point-in-the-hopefully-near-future list, because it is improper, though not technically invalid, CSS.
It is not improper css, but it is causing an issue we'll adjust the right and left pads, it has nothing to do with fusetalk its just the top bar that houses ads.
Was about to let you know that it happens to me too, using Konqueror, but while reading this thread, I noticed that it seemed to be gone, then I came to the explanation.

Same thing happens to me at home. I run at 1600x1200 and there's a horizontal scroll bar. However, it doesn't cut anything off of the page, it's just empty space, so I ignore it.
