If an INTERNATIONAL call originates INSIDE the US and that call goes OUTSIDE the US to Syria the NSA cannot tap a line in Syria. BUT they can tap the phone that originated the call INSIDE the US.
Now how many people have actually claimed that thier calls to mom and dad 3 states over have been tapped? None that I know of.
So you claim that those of us who are ok with this tapping of certain INTERNATIONAL calls are just to ignorant to see the bigger picture which is that eventually ALL calls will be tapped without warrants. Isn't that exactly the same as what we say about another terrorist attack? I mean come on we can all agree that there WILL be another...or are we paranoid? Kinda like you and your "they are going to tap into me ordering a pizza!"

Yeall well, that doesn't sit well with me because he will be back again in another thread spewing his nonsense and we will all have to endure the same broken record crap over and over with no logical reasoning behind it. It gets old and I wish people can just have a reasonable debate about things..

Listen, the debate in congress is over whether it is legal to spy on americans! It isn't over whether or not it is wiretapping american citizens or not! ... Congress and Bush aren't arguing that these calls are international, and not domestic. It has been established that it is domestic spying. Bush claims he has special war powers allowing him to temporarily ignore the bill of rights. Why would he have to argue this if he WASN'T breaking the 4th amendment? Get a clue.
It has nothing to do with paranoia. It has to do with breaking the 4th amendment GUARANTEEING the safety against WARRANTLESS searches.. which has been broken,. Quit trying to turn this into a separate arguement. It is a clear violation of the bill of rights.
I answered your question by showing you that your question was not a real question but a reflexive defense. The frog in the pot says the same thing. I have heat detectors that will make me jump out if here if it gets too hot. Trouble is the frog is fooled by slow temperature rise. You are just as blind in your own way. Nobody can show you what is obvious if you had eyes because you do not want to see. Germany didn't go in a single day from democracy to baking Jews. You know where a line leads by the slope. Are we tightening our liberties in response to terrorist attack? Should we? Those are the real issues.

My statement tha Iraq/AQ were tighter than Germany/Japan was undeniable by you, and you were (and probably still are) unable to explain how the Americans anger at Roosevelt/The Dems over "Europe First" caused them to lose 44 seats in the Mid term election, while the modern day equivalent of Bush/Reps invasion of Iraq, to GAIN seats in the mid term election.

If terrorists destroyed one mall per minute I'd be pretty damn safe. I've been to a mall less than 1 hour a month. The last two times were with a friend to pick his sister up from work at the mall.
Who wants to be at a mall? They've gotten as bad as movie theaters. The terrorists can have them!
Anyway, what rights have you given up? Others have attempted to take rights from you, but that is a far cry from you giving them up. When you are compelled by law enforcement to give up a right, resist it, if it can be done peacefully. If not, protest it later.
I live with fears, and attempt to face them (well, first, to find the elusive bastards)...but terrism has not yet become a fear. Just a funny thing I see people talking about on TV, and in print, on the occasions I check them out. Why? Well, think about it rationally: when you fear being terrorized, terrorism is working.
Any fear, that is not due to immediate stress (if we got regular suicide bombings, FI, the fear would be justified, as long as it caused caution, rather than emotional paralysis), is brought on by you, and your mind's perception of your world. It is you that has control over it. It is your own willful act to feel fear. Resist it, and manifest acceptance to replace that fear. Easy? No. Worth every bit of time and effort? Yes.
