Why do i have a "St rt" button instead of a "Start" Button?

Because someone's messing with ya! ;)

IIRC, it's possible to change the text of the start button through the registry, although I can't remember how.

Try searching your registry for "st rt," and see what happens.

The only thing I found was a registry entry called "Start Menu Pin" I can't find where to change the actual text on the button.
