why do I have a dandruff problem?

I never had a problem with dandruff but it started maybe a couple months ago

I don't have tiny white specks but rather chunks of skin cells.. anybody know what's wrong/how to fix? I use a Dove shampoo and shower about every other day

hope it's not too personal to discuss this here
 
dude, you shower everyother day? thats why.

edit: dandruff is pretty normal...it's the shedding of skin cells off ur scalp. if you don't shower it just builds up and sheds off. thats why you should SHOWER everyday.

Sounds like you have a bad case of psorisis. Basically, try any of those over the counter dandruff medicines... I personally liked Neutrogena Tar Extract.

Do you have oily scalp? If so, don't use any conditioner, and gently massage your scalp when you shampoo.

For normal hair, do the normal routine shampoo, conditioner.

And avoid using ANYTHING with alcohol in it on your head.
You may find that Tegrin or Head and Shoulders, or another shampoo type even will change the condition.
