Why do humans have such difficulty putting differences aside?

I want to see intergalactic space travel in my lifetime - if we don't start getting along the world is never gonna be like star trek dang it!!!!

I agree. It's gonna be kinda hard to start living on a different planet if we can't even get along on this one. It's kinda cool to think that a vacation (albeit an expensive one) to the moon or to mars or something would be a possible one in 20-30 years.

Well, they never will, i'd like to think that i would, but i'm sure i won't when i'm 50.

The reason we aren't exploring space is not because we can't put our differences aside. It's because we'd rather spend money on war, suburban sprawl, and general consumerism.
