I don't think these avatars are meant to have any serious import on someone's actual physical characteristics.

He was all a friend could be
Knowin' him was just a gas
One night I got home
he gave me one surprise
He was standin' in a womans dress
Lashes on his eyes
My my too bad too sad
My my too good to last
So I'm cuttin'out Fast
My, my, my...

How many of you use female characters in games? Same sort of thing.

A friend of mine ALWAYS does, says he enjoys the extra humiliation that is perceived by a female beating a male in the game.

I almost always do...and hes right. When you use a females name, and character and you beat a guy...they get pissed. Its just more fun that way. Besides, most of the time the female characters anatomies are not proportional, and its just fun to look at :p

Maybe they really are females who are pretending to be men, but have a female avatar to give you just enough of a hint.
How much deeper in the rabit hole do you want to go? :Q

Because this forum is a sewer and you are getting the toilet view of these people.

Easier to find myself when scrolling through a long thread. I'll switch back to Santa Claus around June. (I didn't want anyone thinking I couldn't figure out how to get rid of the Santa during January)

And, the only reason I chose this particular one is because it said "teacher." If they had a Bill Nye the Science Guy one, I'd jump on it in a heartbeat.

Good point about easier to find one's self. Don't you sometimes wish that there was a option a keyboard shortcut that takes you to your next post. (i know you can do it in your browser with the 'find'and 'find next' options which i end up doing sometimes.. i have my profile settings set to 100 posts per page.. its quicker)

As to why men like female avatars.. It becuase their so secure in their manhood that they are comfortable using female ones... lol
They are secure men who don't mind walking with a little spring in their step, you know.. the graceful way.. its absolute confidence !

I just looked closely at my avatar and I think I'll change it. I picked it because I think the green hair is funny (I don't have green hair) but the teeth are wierd. I just had root canal and the teeth are looking too realistic.

I'm gonna find me an avatar with GOOD teeth.

And yes, I'm female, but I'd use a male avatar if the teeth were good enough.

Does this help answer the original question?
