Why do graphics card still have VGA?

Does it really cost much more to upgrade to DVI?? I'd rather have a Dual DVI card than a card with 1 DVI + 1 VGA . . .

I mean, you can downgrade from DVI to VGA, but can't upgrade from VGA to DVI, you know what I mean??

Well I have a Sony G400 monitor that I plan on keeping until the next generation of LCD's. It is a great aperture grill monitor, and is awesome for games, but it does not have DVI. So a dual DVI card would be useless for me.

I think what the OP means is that you can put on the DVI->VGA, but you can't go the other way around.
