Saw a girl I used to work with at the mall, she was on the phone. I was going to wait, but when I saw she wasn't going to get off the phone anytime soon, I just went ahead and asked for her number, she gave me her real number...
I call her the next evening, she doesn't pick up, but does call me the next day. We then talk for about an hour. She told me all about her past year, I could deduce she did NOT have a BF, etc etc.
To get the ball rolling, I mentioned I could probably help her get a better job than where she is at now (which is true) and that I would talk to my boss and even if I couldn't help her where I am I could give her some information that would help her out. She was like,"that would be great, what do you need from me?" I said, well I have to go to work in just a minute, why don't I come over tomorrow early and we can get started. She said, "that's fine, I'll make sure I get up and I will give you a call."
No call...I called her 2 hours after she was supposed to call me, no answer. I called the next day when I KNEW she would be available, again, no answer so I leave a message. I refuse to call more than twice when I KNOW they are not busy and I can just envision them looking at their phone and seeing my number and deciding not to pick up...
There were no awkward moments during our hour-long phone convo and she even made a comment, "well it was great catching up with you, the convo flowed very nicely" or something to that affect.
I did have a 1 night stand with this girl way back too btw. We both got pretty wasted. But why the hell do you talk to someone for an hour if you are not interested and intentionally are going to ignore them from that moment on?
