exactly. not fat here. little chubby but not fat. however it doesn't matter. Everyone has flaws and sure you do too Mill.

post some intelligent sh!t next time.

I fail to the see the point. If you are fat and it isn't for medical reason you can lose the weight. Being chubby and being morbidly obese are too different things. How about growing some thicker skin? Oh wai...

Yes they are TWO different things but not too different things.

Thicker skin? Na. Just irritated by stuck up people who think their better than others. You might as well make another post on why so many harley riders are big.

So you pointed out a glaring typo for what reason? You've made a lot more than I have in my posts. Regardless, Chris Farley was fat and used to make fun of fat people all the time. I don't see the issue. I didn't say I was better than anyone you illiterate ass, but I did ask why fat people drove little cars. It was meant to be a discussion, and not a 12 step program for lard asses.

Hitting a little to close to home for you? Go eat a jelly donut and calm yourself down.

All obesity is due to a metabolic condition of sorts. As such, there is always an underlying medical reason for it. Some of it is psychological, most of it is physical. What can start out as chubby can (and often does) turn into obesity and morbid obesity - pretty much on its own.

I realize that you are trying to be funny, Mill. The problem is that obesity is not a funny condition. It certainly is not as simple as your simple mind thinks it is.
All that one's physical propensity dictates is how easily they put on weight and how hard it is to take off - nothing more. One person may tend towards higher weight than the other, but if they consciously restrict calories and increase body output it is physiologically impossible for them to get fat without enough _surplus_ calories :)

I know you're just trying to make a funny post, but It makes a little sad that some people out there have probably legitimately asked themselves this question. It's even sadder that you think it's funny... there's a thin line between funny and just downright mean.

Wow. You are being an ass today, Mill.

Sysadmin was just making a plea that you take fat people's feelings into account when you are having these "meaningful discussions" Jmoe was just chiming in...

I don't think it is mean at all. I'm hardly skinny at 6'0 215, so what's the big deal? If someone calls me fat I'll just laugh. I don't consider myself fat, but I'm not skinny.

Getting there (to obesity) is easy. You consume more calories than you burn. The problem is that human bodies are programmed to horde fat. This causes a metabolic downturn, and it does indeed become harder to take it off.

I won't pretend it's not easy, but almost anybody can do it if they shuttle enough of their energies towards it :p

Why don't you get a little more ticked? Tis funny you accuse me of not having an intellectual mindset behind my post. Regardless I wasn't making fun of fat people. It was an observation. But hey you flamed me first so don't be surprised when I go for the jugular(if I can find it underneath all the fat).

/me pass jmoe a bucket of pure lard to drink.

I agree with you and I do think a fair amount of fat people drive small cars, however I don't think it's necessarily that fat people drive tiny cars more than any other car, I just think you notice it a lot more when far person gets out of a tiny car. Kind of like how you notice a fat person eating an ice cream cone or a huge burger at Carl's JR and you make a comment, but you never really take note of a skinny person ordering the super-duper sized fries. It sure is funny to see a little Ford Fiesta riding practically on two wheels b/c of the driver being a tad overweight to say the least though.

Not to be rude to anyone, but if you're that sensitive it would be in your best interest not to be obese. Obesity, and being generally overweight, are controllable in the vast majority of people. So it's not like these people are being picked on for something they can do nothing about.

If I chose to let myself go in an area that I had control over, like showering for instance, I'd expect the mockery.

You said you simply have no time, which may be true. However, that's the excuse the average American gives and the average American spends 4 hours a day watching TV. People without time to exercise are not the norm. Most fat people have no excuse at all. They're just lazy and undisciplined.

<--- 6'3' 210. Not incredibly skinny, but certainly not fat.

hi. I'm fat. but well-educated, hard-working, and don't drive a small car.

actually, the reason that I'm fat is *because* I'm hard-working. I gained most of my weight while in college, where, because of spending so much time at meetings, in classes, and doing work, I had to eat whatever was fastest -- in this case, that ended up being unhealthy, fattening cafeteria food.

of course, what most people don't realize when they're giving me dirty looks is that, as big as I am now, I've already lost 75 pounds in the past year and the weightloss isn't showing any signs of stopping.

so in short... stfu. who is anyone to judge anyone else, unless they know where they're coming from?

fat people drive all cars these days, since we're all getting fatter. car companies have taken this into account and have been gradually increasing the width of things like car seats lol:)

I hope you don't consider yourself an educated person, obviously you're not.
