Why do Computers hate me?

So I accidently uninstall my nVidia Geforce2 MX400 video drivers when trying to uninstall my audio drivers..... (dumb, yes, i know)

I go to nVidia's site, download the new drivers, install it.... but my computer doesn't recognize any of it?!?!?!? It still says "default monitor on.." and my screen is all f'ed and I see no nVidia stuff anywhere.

Any reason for this?
