Why do banks close at 4?

Banks around here in Arkansas close at 5:00.

Some banks don't close at 4. My bank doesn't close until 4:30, and 6:00 on Friday's.

With direct deposits, billpay, online loans and mortgages, ATMs with check deposits and Credit Cards why do you need to step into a bank? I haven?t had paper money in my possession for over 3 years.

Mine is open until 5 and the drive-up branch it open until 7pm. 😀

i'm not sure on exact hours but here thursdays and fridays banks are open until like 8:00 pm. rest of the week is probably around 4-5.

Same here. They are also open until noon on Saturday.
