Why do apps get abandoned ?

Step 1 : release to Android. Step 2 if lots of people are using android app or like android update: release to iOS. Step 3, usually only if lots of people are using the android or iOS app, and the developers are not seeing a decline in the number of downloads : release to Windows mobile OS's.

Sameway updates I think are decided.

This topic should stay dead.

No amount of caveats will change the answers already given. This topic will stay as dumb as it was.

Do you all think a app developer should abandon a app even if it costs $9.99 or even $14.99 ?

lol

Do you expect a program you paid $10 for to be supported forever? Not even Operating Systems are developed/supported indefinitely.

A payment for any software is no guarantee of support forever. For some, you may get it as long as the company is operational, for others, until they release a major new version and dump the old version. And for others yet, until their life changes dramatically and they move on. Their is no contract, no ethical quandaries, etc.

Move on. End of story. This topic is done.

No

I just expect normal support while a program is being actively updated.
