I had goat meat in come Jamaican soup once. It wasn't bad. I don't have a problem with it though. If it tastes at all like lamb then I'd love it.

Also could be a religion thing since Jews, Christians and Muslims have many rules against eating goat meat along with other types of food like lobster... :(

How can one give up lobstar?

Goat you can eat:
3 Don?t eat any disgusting animals.
4 You may eat the meat of cattle, sheep, and goats; wild sheep and goats; and gazelles, antelopes, and all kinds of deer. 6 It is all right to eat meat from any animals that have divided hoofs and also chew the cud.
7 But don?t eat camels, rabbits, and rock badgers. These animals chew the cud but do not have divided hoofs. You must treat them as unclean. 8 And don?t eat pork, since pigs have divided hoofs, but they do not chew their cud. Don?t even touch a dead pig!
9 You can eat any fish that has fins and scales. But there are other creatures that live in the water, 10 and if they do not have fins and scales, you must not eat them. Treat them as unclean.
11 You can eat any clean bird. 12 But don?t eat the meat of any of the following birds: eagles, vultures, falcons, kites, ravens, ostriches, owls, sea gulls, hawks, pelicans, ospreys, cormorants, storks, herons, and hoopoes. You must not eat bats. 19 Swarming insects are unclean, so don?t eat them. 20 However, you are allowed to eat certain kinds of winged insects.
21 You belong to the Lord your God, so if you happen to find a dead animal, don?t eat its meat. You may give it to foreigners who live in your town or sell it to foreigners who are visiting your town.

Everything bolded I eat.

The goat meat has less of a specific taste than the lamb and especially sheep meat. This is good for me at least (but there might be people that love the specific taste, so goat will be not so good for them)

But like it's been stated goat meat is quite good tasting. :D

No goat meat is actually pretty tasty were as horse is just down right nasty.

goat meat came from goat,

so lamb and mutton came from sheep?

sheep and goat are pretty much the same thing.

i'd like to know why every culture is superior to the American culture to some people. middle eastern people don't eat pork, why don't you rag on them?

Man are you missing out.

No gyros?
No porkchops?
No rack of lamb?
No pork loin?
No duck breast?

And don't even get me started if you don't eat seafood either!!!

Goat meat is better than lamb, IMO. In India, people talk about eating "lamb" all the time, but what they really mean is goat meat. Lamb is not as good for Indian dishes because its too fatty.

I have no problem with goat...although, I've never actually had goat. I've heard it's good and I'd eat it if I had the chance.

I ate goat quite a bit and for me personally, the combination of a lack of meat on the bones + the extra chewiness + the commonality of goat sticking between your teeth outweighed the different taste (which I didn't like that much more than chicken or beef anyway)
