Why didn't anyone warn me about the holiday today?

Sadly I had to work today (yay for June 30th fiscal year-ends 🙁). Both on my way to work and back home, there were so many people either jogging or riding their bike in the middle of the road. Did I miss the memo or something? What really irked me is that for a good stretch of the road there are bike lanes and people would not stay in them.
Yeah share the road and all that wonderful stuff, but come on - there is a bike lane - use it please!
