Why did you pick your AT icon/Avatar?

I originally had the American Flag avatar, but changed it to the ribbon after 9/11 🙁

I picked it because at the time I was into distributed.net like crazy. It was my whole life. I never bothered to change it since then. 🙂

I've switched many times but I end up coming back to this. And after a pic thread, someone said I look exactly like this anyway.

No imagination at all, I'm afraid. I'll soon be into my 50's.
It's no exact portrait, since I dye my hair, and I briefly considered the 'cow' 🙂
...but, there you go.

My nick is my name, which makes it obvious I am a girl. I did not want anything that made it look like I was trying to get unwanted girlie attention.

🙂

Are you in one? Because if you're not goto hell! There not fun for people who need them.

Chose mine because I liked it when I signed up. Changed after 9/11 but then changed back to my original. I can't change it anymore because of my "invalid" username, but that's ok because I like the raven anyways.

There sure are a lot of new avatars since I have joined.

BTW the custom avatar is definitely a bad idea. Nothing pisses me off more than a forum that allows custom ones and of course a bunch of people choose a goddamned GIF.:|
