<< I was at Mycoupons.com and I was reading a thread. In the thread it said that people here were mean. (I'm not sure if it said mean to newbies or just mean. lol) So, I wanted to see for myself. I've been here ever since. >>
So do you think people here are mean????
I started reading the hardware reviews here, then needed help overclocking a processor. That's why I started using the forum.
Hot Deals (got cool stuff) => General Hardware Forum (needed help on all the cool stuff I got from Hot Deals) => Off Topic (where I go in between posts in the General Hardware Forum)
I was reading through Swedish forums awhile back and was asking about something when I got a link to Anandtech's main site. I immediately realized this was a pure quality review page and the step into the forums wasn't long.
I don't really post much but read almost all of them, everyday. Feels like you belong to a great big family, which is a feeling I haven't experienced anywhere else on other forums.
Stumbled across this forum while surfing and the style impressed me first plus the content and knowledge level of many of the members was impressive, not too much b.s.-most of the time.
I joined because I was building a new comp and needed some suggestions. Anyway, at first I just stayed in the hardware forums until one day....Oh never mind, I joined because I felt like it.
I only new how to wurf the web and nothing else about computers. one thing i did know is I wanted to learn alot more about them and a frien told me to come here.
Same as most. I was shopping for a new puter and started hanging around in the Hardware Forum. One day a post in that forum talked about some topic in OT that sounded interesting so I went and checked it out. Been here ever since.
I had started visiting anandtech to read up on some stuff...
then I saw "forums" so I went there.....and saw "For sale and trade" and I thought I'd look around...I ended up buying something then decided to sell all my old junk. and I've been here ever since
First I discovered the page to read about overclocking. Then I got to the forums to ask questions regarding overclocking celerons and stuff. Didn't post much after I had gotten the help and ordered the parts and assembled the computer. Then I came back on just to learn more. Now I'm reading posts and replying trying to help other people.
I forget, it was at least 3 years ago. I remember hitting tomshardware and sharkyextreme back then, but I've since abandoned them. Now I stick around because of the awesome Hot Deals forum
