Why did the idiotic American Government put 20+ navy seals on one same copter?

Damn, If I ran the military, the DEVGRU seals will have a copter of their own each for pickups and drops.

Who the fuck really thought of this bright idea of exposing the bravest and the most skilled to one single death trap environment?

If you start out "why did the idotic American government..." you should be starting out in P&N.

I heard that top govt. officials avoid traveling in one single common transport craft.

These men were more worthy of that than the assholes in Washington.

I guess because it's cheaper and more practical than using 30 choppers.

A better question is why are we wandering around a shithole that kicked the ass of the last superpower that tried to commandeer it?

Not in Poland.

The 2010 Polish Air Force Tu-154 crash on 10 April 2010 killing all 96 people on board.

These included the Polish president Lech Kaczyński and his wife, the chief of the Polish General Staff and other senior Polish military officers, the president of the National Bank of Poland, Poland's deputy foreign minister, Polish government officials, 15 members of the Polish parliament, senior members of the Polish clergy, and relatives of victims of the Katyn massacre.

There's a joke in there somewhere.

Probably the same idiots who bring the entire govt into a single building for the state of the union address.

How much are the fuel and risk expenses of using 30 copters worth more than losing men of that scale?

Have you not heard? The US is practically bankrupt. $200 billion in the red each month.

You give each US special forces soldier his own helicopter and crew and they suddenly cost 100x what they did before.

If a nation rationalizes its soldiers in terms of its economy, obviously those poor patriotic honorable nobel human soldier's sacrifice was in vain.

You will never realize what you lost until you experience the pain yourself. I'm not American yet I mourn the death of these men as my own.

Don't you know anything about America? Everything is about money/economy. Greed is good.

This was not true until before Vietnam.

America truly saved the world during WW2.

Screw British, France and the Soviets in that war.

Of all, American morality shone through that time.

Pity this spirit was lost later.

You're right, we clearly don't give enough to the military industrial complex.

What do you think about $5 billion per solider? Surely that should prevent any deaths of US forces.

Back in WW2, the strategists (also in the US) would refer to soldiers as points.
For example :
Tanks would be 1000 points.
jeeps would be 100 points.
Weapons 2 points.
Soldiers 1 point.

Now you can understand that if you convert points to money, what the easiest is to sacrifice.

For example, the hummer is sold as an army vehicle.
But is it really that good ?
With what i have seen and read about Iraq, this armored vehicle would be much better. But it is not US made.

How about I don't know... saving money by not getting into wars that cost almost $2,000,000,000 a week for over a decade? The US spends AN INSANE amount of money on its military. There are HUGE cuts that could be made to the military and still maintain a formidable global force. These savings could be put towards so much other good.

So it's not okay to put 20+ SEALs on multiple choppers, but it's okay to spend billions per year doing nothing of importance in the Middle East? Makes perfect sense to me!

See what I just posted above, that's not my opinion.
