why does anyone still care about her again?

Probable because Republicans keep pulling her out and using her to raise money. So she is still a "voice" of the republican party.

she's the governor of alaska raising money for the alaska GOP... this is news?

 She has been raising mioney and taking appoitments across the US.
here is one i found with a simple google search...

"Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin has been tapped as the headline speaker of Congressional Republicans? annual fund-raising dinner June 8, reports Reuters."

Because for some reason the Republican party has embraced anti-intellectualism, and she is a goddess in that regard.
Lol...and you actually believe this? Wow.

Believe it? I've witnessed it. When their most notable figures are Sarah Palin, Joe the Plumber, and Rush Limbaugh, you've got a big fucking problem. Boehner and Cantor aren't really much better either, and Steele is a joke.

The party has oversimplified itself to appeal to the religious right and people living in rural areas (the "real" America). That's not enough.
So...I guess that means your a Republican?

Quoted. Thanks.
Lol...really though...don't you think your characture might be a tab over-simplistic to the point of being considered by others as 'anti-intellectualism'?

Yeah, that they reported on EVERYTHING regarding his relationships with the extreme pastors and left McCain alone pretty much all of the time pretty much PROVES their devious reverse psychology aproach too, doesn't it you retarded twit?
The media treated Obama with kid gloves.

The Rev Wright story took over a year to make it into the MSM. Over a YEAR!!!
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Do not be ridiculous PJ, to start out, we can't talk about the media like its a single entity when the entire media has many contributors that range all over the political spectrum.

Limbaugh and right wing radio has been demonizing all democrats for decades, Liberals denounce conservative Republicans, it all plays out in the Media, and its all part of politics and the political noise we learn to mostly tune out.

I do not buy for one second the nation that the media ALL descended on Sarah Palin as part of some vast conspiracy.

Its Sarah Palin herself that was the fool, and no matter how hard the media tried, they could not prevent Sarah from making a fool out of herself. It was open mouth, insert foot all the way, things competent politicians see coming and avoid, but Sarah Palin was simply not ready for prime time. And still isn't. Smart politicians learn from their mistakes, its now apparent Sarah is learning challenged.

Your version of truth is whacky. You have not been watching any tv lately I take it. Besides KO I don't know of anyone out there who is "fawning" over BO. You see what you want/fear to see.

Eh, Obama has the office for 8 years anyway.

There are no sure things in politics. Republicans are a far better minority party than majority party. '12 should be interesting.

You mean "16" should be interesting!

Sorry to break up this little circle-jerk (normal for you libs here) but if you actually read what was in the link you might have had a clue.

"Some in the media actually participated in not so much the 'who-what-where-when-why' objective reporting on candidates and positions, those five W's that I learned when I had a journalism degree so many years ago in college, when the world of journalism was quite different than it is today," she said.
"No, things have changed," she continued. "But complaining? Or whining? Absolutely not. But I am going to call it like I see it. It doesn't do any good to whine about any of this. But I can call it like I see it. Sometimes it gets me in a lot of trouble when I speak candidly, and I speak from the heart and I do such a thing. But I am going to."

Looks like the OP has "discredited" himself because she said nothing even close to "the evil liberal media".

"And there was that media slant this go round," she said. "And unless things change, the GOP had really better can stand together, 'cause we got that on the battlefield also. I call it like I see it and like I lived it on the campaign trail."

Yea cause she and other right wing nuts, see CAD, never blame the slanted liberal media.

Of course maybe she was talking about the Faux Slant. ;)

Right, so you take her stating it's "slanted" (which it is to any rational person) as saying "the evil liberal media"...

Again, you have been "discredited" as there was no such claim nor was there anything close to her blaming it all on them like your OP was suggesting.

Also, to whoever asked why she keeps being brought up - who again KEEPS bringing her up? Hmmm... couldn't be "discredited" liberals like the OP could it? ;)

I thought the OP was pretty right on!!!

I don`t think I saw the "conservative" media bashing McCain/Palin......
The whole problem with this is quite a few of you republicans have been in denial since Obama won......
I thought Anand was going to have free psychiatric services for those members who are still in denial??

Hello wake up Anand......heheheeee

And Obama is pulling us out of Iraq and making peace with many nations Bush messed with and pulling us out of the worst economic conditions even worse than the 70s.

Of course I will vote against Obama if his budget is still this big in 2 years. Same as I would have voted against Reagan as well for the same reason.

Also, if the recovery isn't that strong, he's going to have to explain that. A candidate like Jindal could blunt the race issue, and if he finds a good female VP candidate to round out the ticket, the GOP could be very competitive.

Pretty unlikely.

While the GOP will certainly try and attack him on the deficit issue, it will still be hard for them to gain traction on it considering their history. Also, what roots? The GOP has been the 'huge deficit' party for more than half a century.

Obama's re-election will probably hinge on the economy (barring some spectacular event), and in 4 years it's quite likely the economy will be doing just fine. Even if Obama has nothing to do with the recovery, he'll take credit for it. Furthermore, Obama wasn't elected because he was black, he was elected in spite of it. The GOP nominating another brown guy won't do a damn thing to help them on the race issue, and Jindal has some really nutso beliefs. (intelligent design, EXORCISMS) I dont think he'll be a credible threat.

Obama's about to make all that history go bye-bye. He'll either have to accept record-breaking deficits, or raise taxes (which he'll never actually do, and which Congress will never actually let him). He'll make GWB look sober.
